The
couple who own this home wanted to have one large room for the kitchen, informal
dining and a family room, and they wanted to keep their individual dining area
and formal living room. In order to get them the space they needed, we added
onto the side and rear of the home, taking out the small kitchen. The new kitchen
now wraps the back of the addition, with a view of the backyard, and they now
have a screened porch off of the kitchen at the side, with a new patio. We kept
the walls between the new areas and the former dining room and living room,
to maintain the separation they wanted. |
