The homeowners
of this home needed to enlarge their master bath. They wanted an extra large
shower, and they were very interested in the "Roman" spa look. In
order to gain the space for the large shower and the whirlpool tub, we moved
back the closet wall, and moved the closet door over, gaining a few feet more
space for the bath. We located the double doors to the bath in the center
of the room and the bedroom wall. We then had enough room for the his and
hers vanities, the separate toilet room, which they had not had before, and
the large whirlpool tub and walk in shower. We even decorated the shower with
a Roman style niche at one end, dual shower heads, and lots of decorative
tile in a relief reminiscent of Roman baths. The solid wood doors they chose
have a sculpted design, and add a touch of elegance. We moved the window for
the tub over from where it had been, in order to allow for the vanity and
large mirror. Siding repairs outside made the job complete. It's a luxurious
master bath that they can share without getting in each other's way. |
