This large kitchen in the rear of the home was created by removing barriers
created between the kitchen, breakfast and family rooms in the orignial design
of the house. We removed the peninsula between the kitchen and breakfast areas,
and the railings between the breakfast area and the family room to create a
continuous flow between the rooms. We wrapped the cabinetry around all of the
walls of the kitchen, and installed an island for extra prep space and sink,
as well as more eating and socializing space. We installed a microwave in the
island for easy access, as well as double ovens for entertaining. In the family
room, we also designed and installed the bookcases surrounding the fireplace.
