This kitchen remodel involved removing a wall between the kitchen and dining
rooms, and a pantry just inside the door from the entry foyer. This opened it
up dramatically to the rest of the home, and made it much brighter throughout
the main level. The high ceilings were a benefit, but now it's a design element.
The peninsula is also a design element, making better use of the space along
this wall. It also serves as a serving counter, eating counter, and gives an
element of privacy to the kitchen preparation areas from the dining room. The
wider doorway into the dining room is an added benefit of removing the wall
and installing the peninsula in its place. |
