This large kitchen was old and very dated. We redesigned it to have a larger
pantry and wrapped the cabinets all the way around the inside wall. We installed
bead board on the outside wall to the right of the exterior door, leaving room
for their antique hutch. This allowed foir more floor space through the kitchen.
The additional lighting we installed in the form of recessed, undercabinet and
the new chandelier makes what was a dark dingy kitchen bright. The owners wanted
a dark rich wood stain, and the additional lighting keeps it bright. we also
installed glass door front cabinets above the area facing the dining table,
to break up the expanse of solid doors, and to mirror the hutch. The full granite
backsplash is adorned with small mosaic motifs for an extra elegant look. The
double ovens and microwave give them plenty of options for cooking when the
family comes to visit. |
